The ABI Reader's Glossary is designed to provide brief definitions of selected religious and theological concepts and terms that are likely to be encountered by the readers of ABI blogs, articles and resource material, as well as in linked material.

This glossary is not an exhaustive list of theological terms, nor a precise theological dictionary complete with biblical references in every case. Rather, it is a quick and easy reference for concepts and terms which may not be familiar to all of our readers or which may have specific shades of meaning as they are used in the context of ABI's theological views.

In the case of theological terms, the goal is to provide objective definitions that accurately reflect their meaning as understood and used by those who hold them to be true. In some cases, in which there may be conflict between this and what ABI considers accurate biblical theology, this might be evident in certain definitions. But in general, the terms may not be evaluated for their biblical accuracy in this context.

Because of this, the definitions should not be taken as necessarily reflecting ABI's theological position on any particular issue. Our theological position is presented in detail in the
ABI Statement of Faith. If it becomes evident that there does need to be biblical evaluation included, then that will be added as appropriate.

We welcome suggestions and requests for additional terms to be included in this glossary, so feel free to contact us at any time and if appropriate we will try to add the definition in a timely manner.

Note: As of July 3, 2010, the glossary is incomplete, but will be updated regularly to first add the definitions for terms already in the list and then to add additional terms as necessary or requested.
