Panentheism
Pantheism
The religious view that there is one and only one genuine reality, such that god is in everything and everything is in God. All things in the physical and spiritual realms are simply manifestations of this one all-encompassing reality.
Partial rapture
The view that the rapture of believers will happen continuously throughout the seven-year Tribulation as believers become spiritually ready to enter into the presence of the Lord as they repent and appropriately deal with sin in their lives.
Particularism
Penal-substitution Theory
Pentecostalism
Perfectionism
Perpetual Virginity of Mary
In Roman Catholic theology, the dogma (official church teaching) that Mary, the mother of Jesus, remained a virgin throughout her entire life. The doctrine includes the belief that Mary maintained all the physical characteristics of a virgin as well, even after giving birth to Jesus.
Pneumatology
The technical theological term for the study of the doctrine of the Holy Spirit.
Polemic
Polythesim
The view that there are many limited Gods. Polytheism is characteristic of ancient Greek mythology and modern-day Mormonism. Although Hinduism is often thought to be polytheistic because of the millions of gods which are worshipped, this is not technically true. Hinduism is actually monotheistic pantheism in which there is only one total reality that is god and the religion's multiple gods are merely various manifestations of that one reality.
Postmillennialism
The eschatological view that Christ will return after the millennium (the 1000 years described in Revelation 20 is viewed symbolically and taken as an indeterminately long period of time). The milliennium is viewed as a period of time when Christianity will spread throughout the world, laying a social and spiritual foundation for the coming of the Kingdom of God to the earth.
Postmodernism
Post-tribulationalism
The premillennial dispensational view that the rapture of the Church will happen at the end of the seven-year Tribulation period.
Power evangelism
Predestination

Presuppositionalism
Preterism
Preterition
Pretribulationalism
Pre-wrath rapture
The view that the rapture of the Church will take place well after the beginning of the seven-year tribulation period, just prior to the beginning of the time when the wrath of God is poured out on the earth based on Matthew 24:21-22.

Purgatory
In Roman Catholic theology, purgatory is the state or condition purification where those who die in a state of grace (having no mortal sin on their soul) but with the stain of sin (temporal punishment still due for venial or forgiven mortal sins) are cleansed before they are admitted to heaven. Contrary to the popular belief that purgatory is a place, this is not a part of official Catholic doctrine. The suffering experienced in purgatory is essentially the same as that of hell, but is temporary in nature. All souls in purgatory will eventually be admitted to heaven, either after they have been purified from the stain of sin or at the Second-Coming of Christ.
