What is Dispensationalism?

An important new book has just been published titled, What is Dispensationalism?

I had the privilege of being one of 27 different authors, contributing one chapter (“How Does Dispensationalism Impact Systematic Theology”), two articles (“What was the purpose of miracles?” and “Do Christians still perform miracles?”) and two appendices (“What is Covenant Theology?” and “What is Progressive Dispensationalism?”) Our target audience is the average person in the pew, but also with Bible institutes, Christian colleges and universities, and seminaries in mind as we believe it has the potential of becoming a textbook in some schools. It was also written with a view to translation and distribution into as many languages as possible in order to get a solid dispensational book into the international community. The book is available from Dispensational House Publishing at this link. There is fairly wide a range of views within traditional/revised dispensationalism, and so the reader may not agree with every detail in the book, but these are in-house discussions and any differences fall well within the range of differences by top dispensational scholars like Chafer, Walvoord, Pentecost, Toussaint, and Ryrie.
